Trypsin

This preparation of Trypsin is isolated from human pancreas and is provided as a powder, lyophilized from 2 mM HCl. Purity is ≥95% by gel electrophoresis. Protein content is determined by A280 prior to lyophilization.

Reconstitution & Handling: Conditions of reconstitution may vary based on your system, but we recommend reconstituting in 1 mM HCl and freezing quickly in aliquots at -70°C. Aliquots should be thawed immediately before use and any unused material should be refrozen immediately. A maximum of 2-3 freeze-thaw cycles is recommended. Trypsin is highly active and will exert its catalytic properties on itself. As such, aliquots cannot be left at room temperature for extended periods of time; keep aliquots on ice once they are thawed and refreeze as soon as possible.
